SERAH Launches "SURAKSHA" Lab Safety Campaign for UG Students at Kannur University

In a significant move towards promoting lab safety awareness among undergraduate (UG) students, the student-initiated startup SERAH (Science Education Research and Activity Hub) has launched a campaign named "SURAKSHA." The campaign aims to enhance safety practices and create a culture of responsible laboratory kickstarted at Payyanur College, affiliated with Kannur University. .

Recognising the critical importance of lab safety in scientific education, SERAH has taken the initiative to educate UG students on best practices, risk management, and adherence to safety protocols in laboratory settings. By imparting knowledge and awareness, the campaign aims to mitigate potential hazards and ensure the well-being of students and faculty members. As an initial step, SERAH is seeking to survey all the science students at Kannur University.
